Sue Neufeld-Ellis is a licensed mental health counselor (L.M.H.C); Certified Sex
Addiction Therapist(CSAT); Certified at the supervisory level, both state and
nationally in chemical dependency counseling (C.C.D.C.II and N.C.A.C.II); a
registered nurse (R.N.) and also a certified clinical hypnotherapist (C.H.T.).
She is a member of IITAP (International Institute of Trauma and Addiction
Professionals), and SASH (Society for the Advancement of Sexual Health), also
NAADAC (National Association of Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counselors). She
has worked 30 years in the fields of nursing & counseling in which she advises
on addiction, sexual and spiritual issues, as well as a running a general private
practice.  Theoretical training includes cognitive behavioral therapy.
She was personally and professionally coached by Dr. Patrick Carnes, Ph.D.
through 2007 in the Professional Improvement Program (PIP). Also trained in
the task model of sex, partners of sexual infidelity, and couples treatment from
1987-1991.  She has been assessing and treating these conditions in her
private practice since 1991. She has also trained with Dr. Al Cooper, PhD and
Pia Melody in "Love and relationship addiction" issues.

She presents nationally on healthy relationships and intimacy. She has also
taught multiple workshops and seminars on these subjects throughout the
Pacific Northwest and the U.S. to health care professionals. She taught on
"codependency and partners of sexual infidelity" and "stress management for
health care providers. She was on faculty at Bellevue Community College
(2000-2006)  where she taught the 1st class on "internet addiction and
cybersex" in 2004. Sue is an adjunct faculty member with IITAP (International
Institute for Trauma and Addiction Professionals) teaching CSATs
internationally on 'Mindfulness For Recovery.

Sue took a 3 year sabbatical (1993-1996) where she travelled with her
husband, Jerry, to 14 countries.  She also led a meditation at the United
Nations. Sue was trained in mindfulness at University of Washington and is a  
trained teacher in meditation at University of California - San Diego (UCSD).

Some specific conditions Sue treats are;  sexual dependency and addiction,
internet addiction, computer addiction, relationship dependency and addiction,
partners of sexual infidelity, codependency, couples/marriage counseling,
relationship and intimacy skills, adult children of dysfunctional families,
childhood abuse, neglect, depression, anxiety disorder, phobias, sexual
anorexia, smoking cessation, weight management, grief and trauma resolution,
and childhood abuse.
